Lucille V. Samson of d'Youville Pavilion, passed away Nov. 23 after a short illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 30, 1913 the daughter of Edouard and Veronique (Sarrazin) Gagne. She married Wm. M. Samson on Oct. 13, 1933. She was a resident of Meadowview for over 25 years and then moved to The Family Connection Boarding Home on Fair Street. She had worked most of her life at Clark and Lown Shoe. She had learned to knit at the early age of nine and spent her life knitting for friends and family. She knitted many outfits for the Androscoggin Bank Doll program for needy children and was awarded many ribbons for her creations. She was very generous in giving of herself to a lot of people in need.
She was predeceased by her husband William in 1976; six sisters, Hermella Bonin, Blanche (Sr. Generosa), Elizabeth Jacques, Rose Cote, Jeanne Larrivee and Flora Gagne; eight brothers, Wilda, Leonard, Andre (Pete), Emile, Romeo, Leo, Armand and Dominique.WIFE OF WILLIAM MICHAEL SAMSON
