Marjorie "Marge" Hake was born October 24, 1925 the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Goldenpenny) Bennett.

Marge attended Platteville High School and was the first female ever to attend the Platteville Mining School - now called the School of Engineering. On December 29, 1945 she married Dale "CowBoy" Hake at the First Congregational Church in Platteville. He passed away February 21, 2002.

In 1980 she retired from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Engineering Department being given the honorary Doctorate Degree of Mining Engineering and taken into the Order of Engineers.

She was a life member of the Ladies of the 32nd Division Veteran Association, VFW 5274 Auxiliary, Eastern Star #15. She was also a member of the First Congregation UCC and the Women's Fellowship, SWHC Auxiliary. She enjoyed athletics, cards, crafts, dogs & horses. Most of all she loved her family members & their accomplishments. She also enjoyed her church family and the many University of Wisconsin-Platteville students and faculty she came in contact with.

She is survived by three sons, eight grandchildren, six great granddaughters, four great grandsons, and one step-great grandson. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Bennett and two sisters, Bette Pedracine and Jane Miller.
