MRS. MORTON FUNERAL THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Mrs. Matilda Jane Morton, 77 years, died Tuesday morning at the family home in Ridgefield. Mrs. Morton had been in ill health for the past twelve years but was only bedfast a week before her death. She was born in Indiana and sixteen years ago move with her family to Clark county, since that time making her home in Pioneer and
Ridgefield. For the past 40 years Mrs. Morton has been an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was married to John H. Morton in Colburn, Ind. and last year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. NOTE: actually it was this year, in February. Surviving relatives include her husband, John H. Morton, four daughters, Mrs. Flora Morton, Mrs. Anna Wood, and Mrs. Orpha Ayres, all of Ridgefield, and Mrs. Effie Eaton, Ellsworth, Wis., three sons, John Jr., and Harry of Ridgefield, and Fred of Yakima, one sister, Mrs. W. H. Ramsey of Yakima, 28 grandchildren and 21 great -grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Seventh Day Adventist church at Ridgefield with Elder J. Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Ridgefield. Limber's Funeral Home in Vancouver, is in charge of the body. Prof. D. E. Venden, formerly of Columbia Academy, Battle Ground, Wash., will sing several selections.
