Mrs. Ernest (Erma V.) Yeska, 87, who lived in Portland for 50 years, died Monday, Dec. 8, at a local nursing home.
Born Feb. 21, 1892, in Morrow County, Mrs. Yeska moved to Portland about 1919. She lived at 12650 NE Schuyler St. She was a member of the Woodland Park Baptist Church.
Mrs. Yeska is survived by her husband, daughters Dorothy L. Jones, Lake Oswego, Wilma V. Johnson, Red Bluff, Calif., and Velda P. Green, Van Nuys, Calif.; brother Roy Akers, Portland; sisters Viola Whitney, Wenatchee, Wash., Bertha Davis, Houston, and Leola Barlow, Washougal, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, at the Little Chapel of the Chimes, NE Halsey Street and 106th Avenue. Private Entombment will be at Rose City Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrance be contributions to the Senior Citizen Memorial fund, Woodland Park Baptist Church, 11375 NE Halsey St.
