Samuel Wilson Worthington, 70, of 2131 Jefferson died this morning at four-thirty o'clock at a local hospital of causes incident to age.

Mr. Worthington was born March 3, 1874, in Payson, Utah. A son of Samuel and Mary Wilson Worthington. He had lived in Ogden for the past year and a half.

Prior to coming to Ogden, he resided in Boise, Idaho, and served in the Bishopric of the L.D.S. Boise First ward for 14 years.

He was a city councilman from 1927 to 1935. He organized the Idaho Cosl Dealers Association of the Western Federation of Coal Dealers and was its first president.
