George E. Thorpe and his wife Betsy Ann Miller had four children including Clayton M. (see below), Mary E. (1859-1864), Kate M. (1862-?), and Lewis S. (see below). There is a George E. Thorpe (#51341682) buried in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Bozeman MT. Family records show that Mr. Thorpe spent considerable time with son Lewis and family in Bozeman just prior to his death in 1909 so it is likely that he is in fact interred in Bozeman's Sunset Hills Cemetery and his name is also on the family headstone in Miller (aka Maple Grove) Cemetery, Napoli, NY.
