Son of Charles and Hannah Morehead 'Martin' Hanks. William married Eliza Jane Wykel on April 28, 1852 in Macon Co., IL. William and Eliza had 5 children: Nancy Elizabeth, James (Elbridge)Albert, Seth Columbus, Hyronimus Dyke and Mary Louellen. After William died Eliza married Samuel Enoch Behymer and had a child: John Lafayette Behymer in 1869.
