Born in Missouri, he was 83 years old, and died at the family residence in Inspiration townsite. He was a blacksmith, the father of a large family, three of whom lived in Miami. He was survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Henry and Sam; daughter, Mrs. J.C. Kerent; and several other children not living locally.
