Russian Royalty, United States Marine Corps Officer. He is the only member of European Royalty buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Born Prince Leon Bogun Mazappa Razumowski in Russia on September 27, 1880,, he changed his name and emigrated to the United States following an attempt on his life in Russia in 1907. He took the name "Jacob Makohin" in honor of the man who died saving his life in the assassination attempt. He served in the United States Marine Corps in World War I. His Wife Susan E. Fallon Makohin "Princess Razumowski" died March 12,1976 and was buried by his side.
