He was born July 21, 1922, in Springfield Township, Franklin County, a son of Lawrence and Mary Barbour Seiter.
He was married to Mitzi B. Hirt on Nov. 19, 1949, in Holy Family Church in Oldenburg, Ind., and she survives.
He farmed the family farm in Springfield Township and for 23 years was the owner of Conwell Show Store in Connersville, retiring in 1990.
He was a former member of numerous service clubs and organizations.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mitzi B. Seiter; a daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Rick Hofer of Brookville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald Seiter of Brookville, Fred and Lynda Seiter of Cary, Ill., and Tom and Denise Seiter of Bozeman, Mont.; grandchildren, Steven and Marla Hofer, Kyle and Rachel Hofer, Candace and Dustin Robbins, Ryan Seiter and Rachael Seiter; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Hofer, Payton Robbins and Patrick Robbins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Seiter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 145 St. Michael Blvd., Brookville, with the Rev. William Williams, pastor of St. Michael, officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Brookville
