She was a devoted Christian and employee of Saint Mary's Medical Center who dedicated her career to helping others, including the underprivileged, the mentally ill and children in need. A talented gardener, she enjoyed spending time in her flowerbeds and herb garden. Bridgett was a gifted artist, and she has two novels and three children's books to her credit. She is a graduate of Sweetwater High School, Carson Newman College, and Lincoln Memorial University, where she received her Master's degree.
Bridgett is preceded in death by her father, Sanford Gray; and brother, Douglas Gray.
Bridgett is survived by her two sons, Joshua and Justin L. Vesser and their wives Colleen and Amy Vesser; her husband, Richard Jackson; her mother, Esther Gray; her sister, Marylu Gray Atchley; her brother, David Gray; her nieces, Carrie Atchley and Erin Gray; nephews, Cameron Atchley and Dane Gray; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends at Kyker Funeral Home in Sweetwater, Tennessee on Friday, October 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with memorial service to follow immediately, led by reverend Richard Everett, pastor of First Baptist Church in Loudon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the for sarcoma research.
