ALTEMOSE SUCCUMBS AT AGE 66
EAST STROUDSBURG -- Mrs. Bessie I. Altemose, 66, of Pocono Pines, died Thursday morning in the General Hospital of Monroe County after an eight week illness.
Born in Long Pond, she was the daughter of Della (Newhart) Miller and the late Howard Miller. She was the widow of Russell Altemose.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Harold of Pocono Pines; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Swingle of Lake Ariel and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Kresge Funeral Home, Brodheadsville, with Rev. Arthur Chatten officiating. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery.
