MONTICELLO. Dec 19. - Mrs. Ruthie King Ward, 49, wife of Mr. D. B. Ward, died at the family home a few miles from Monticello after an illness of about three years.

Funeral services were held at the Old Silver Creek Baptist church with Dr. J. A. Taylor, pastor of the Arm Baptist church where Mrs. Ward held her membership, conducting the last rites. Interment was made in the Old Silver Creek church cemetery.

Mrs. Ward was reared at Carson, but had spent all of her married life near Arm. She was a devoted Christian and excelled as a home-maker.

Besides her husband, she Is survived by ten children: Walter, Gaston, Mrs. Henry Nations, Harold, Lina, Jake, Ola Mae, Plez, Van and Bernice all of whom live in Lawrence county. Among other surviving relatives are a grand daughter, three sisters,. Mrs. Jim Jones, Mrs. Andy Nations and Mrs. Aioert Dyess. all of Carson, MS; brothers, J. D. King, Oak Grove, La., Leeves, Bert, Mack and Wiley lung, an or Carson.
