Honea Path – Teressa Irene Prater King, 88, of 3795 Keowee Rd., widow of Thomas William King, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 08, 2010.

Born in Joanna, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Carlton and Linnie Goff Prater. She was retired from Chiquola Manufacturing Plant in Honea Path in 1984. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother that loved the Lord. She was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are three sons, Mr. Larry King and wife Debbie of Laurens, Mr. Rodney King and wife Jan of Honea Path, and Mr. Chris King of Honea Path., five daughters, Ms. Linda King of Belton, Mrs. Cynthia Davis and husband Gerald of Belton, Mrs. Celia Burleson and husband Mark of Anderson, Mrs. Delia Cooper and husband Paul of Ware Shoals, and Mrs. Pixie Hughes and husband Billy of Honea Path, 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a grandson, Larry Rodney King, two great-grandsons, Kenneth Patrick Lay and Evan Davis, two sisters, Thelma Tucker and Gillette Rowe, and seven brothers, Edward Lee, Bill, Virgil, Van, Edison, Lavaughn, and H.S. Prater.

Funeral services were held at the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ted Coody, Rev. Gene Brown, Rev. Hayes Riddle and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial in Garden of Memories.
