TORRINGTON, WY . . . . Funeral services for JO ANN GONZALEZ, 47, will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at All Saints Episcopal Church with The Rev. Mary Jellison officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 5pm on Tuesday, February 9 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3pm thru the Rosary and ending at 7pm. Jo Ann died on February 6, 2010 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Cremation will follow the services and private burial will be held at another time. Those who wish may direct memorial contributions in Jo Ann's memory to the Torrington All Saints Episcopal Discretionary Fund. Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends are invited to send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com
Jo Ann was born on June 3, 1962 in Amarillo, Texas the daughter of Thomas Paredes and Mary Salas. The family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1975 and then to Torrington, Wyoming in 1987. In October of 1998 she married Roberto Gonzalez.
Jo Ann loved to take-in children and care for them as her own. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for many children. She also enjoyed antiques, gardening, and cooking for others and especially for church dinners.
She is survived by her husband, Roberto of Torrington; her mother, Mary Salas of Gooding, Idaho; three daughters, Rosa Garcia, Kristal Gonzalez, and Corrina Gonzalez all of Torrington; three sons, Ralph Salas, Eli Gonzalez, and Isaac Gonzalez also of Torrington; three brothers, Alex Salas of El Paso, Texas, Larry Salas of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and David Salas of Gooding, Idaho; three sisters, Cathy Mendez of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Christine Bustillos and Yolanda Salas both of Gooding, Idaho; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, four brothers, and one sister.
