Janis A. McKinney was called to her heavenly home February 6th, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Janis was born December 30th, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, the second child of Mary and John Holub. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, in Des Moines, in 1956. She was an IBM employee for 22 years, and retired a Senior Administrative Specialist in 1992. Upon retirement, Janis took up golf and became an avid golfer. Janis was a beautiful lady, devoted wife and a loving companion. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ted Holub. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Spink of Okemos, Michigan, and Cheri Fisher of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her husband of 19 years, John B. McKinney; and 8 grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating Jan's life will be held at the Floral Haven Chapel on Wednesday, February 10th, at 3:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Floral Haven 252 -2518.
