LEWIS DUANE STONE

Lewis Duane Stone, 87, a resident of DeLand, passed quietly into eternal life on the morning of Saturday, January 23rd. He was born April 24, 1922, in Binghamton, NY.

"Stoney" was a World War II veteran of the US Army, a career driver for "Boss-Linco Freight Lines", he was a proud member and officer of Teamsters Local 693.

He retired to Florida in 1982. He was past-president of Woodland Manor HOA, and an active member of American Legion Post 6, DeLand, where he served as "Judge Advocate".

He was predeceased by Dorothy, his wife of 67 years, in 2008.

He is survived by daughters, Sandi Smith and husband Ed, DeLand; Patti McCray and husband Wade, Orlando; son, Ken Stone and wife Barbara, Endwell, NY; sisters, Doris Bush, Windsor, NY; Laura Youells, Apalachin, NY; brother, Cliff Stone, Binghamton, NY; four grandchildren, Mark Stone, Tioga Center, NY; George Stone, Owego, NY; Steven Smith, DeLand, Alicia McCray, Orlando; and nine great -grandchildren. Full Military Honors will be extended at DeLand Memorial Gardens, on Saturday, February 13th, at 11:00 A.M.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made, in his name, to "Volusia Honor Air", P.O. Box 1346, DeLand, FL 32721.
