Mrs. Dorn passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Rolling Plains Memorial
Hospital in Sweetwater.
She was born Oct. 26, 1895, in Bell County, Texas.
Mrs. Dorn was a resident of Mitchell County since 1908, was a
member of the Dom Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She married Melvin Pierce Dom on Oct. 15, 1911, in Mitchell
County, he preceded her in death on March 23. 1967. She was also
preceded in death by two sons, C. C. 'Buck' Dorn and James W. 'Jack'
Dorn.
Survivors include a son, Melvin P. Dom, Jr. of Colorado City; three
daughters, Christina Bell, Virginia Whirley and Lucille Jarrett, all of
Colorado City; nineteen grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; and
thirty-five great-great-grandchildren.
