IDA FRANCIS BROWN

Ida Francis Brown, 94, of Millville died after an extended illness at home Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.

Born in Tyaskin, Md., she lived in Millville for 75 years. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, and very active with Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Millville. She became a member of the church 75 years ago and was a member of the Stewardess Board at the church. She also was a church missionary. For many years, Mrs. Brown took care of many children in her home and will be fondly remembered by her extended family. She loved to spend time with her family and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Russel, at home; daughter, JoAnn Wilkerson and her husband Alfonza of Millville; sister, Louise Pernell of Salisbury, Md.; grandchildren, William Ramos and Christina of Vineland, Marc Ramos and Pearl of Millville, and Jenelle Gooch and Jesus of Millville; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her sister, Hester Wright; and brother, Linwood Conway.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel A.M.E. Church of Millville.

Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Relatives and friends will be received at the church from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
