Second child of Leo Joseph and Annie Stein, Leona was the oldest daughter of their three daughters. Sometime in the decade between 1920 and 1930, she married William Hobart Grubb. He died in 1927, leaving her a widow and ill with tuberculosis from which she died. Her husband was returned to Phelps County where he is buried with his family, and she is buried with her family.
