Funeral services for Davis native Nellie Mirle Knapp, 74, were Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Churech in Davis. Mrs. Knapp died Monday, August 21, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Brother Gordon Oglesby officiated, with Rev. Rick Vermillion assisting. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Fox Funeral Home.

Mrs.Knapp was born September 21, 1914 west of Davis and lived here all her life. She was a retired nurse and a member of First Christian Churech, Rose Garden Club, Davis Round-up Club and president of a senior singles club in Ardmore.

Survivors are one daughter, Judy Clemons and husband Jim of Davis; two sons Bill Knapp of Norman and Tom Jack Knapp Jr. and wife Wanda of Davis; two sisters, Ruth Estes of San Pablo, CA and Ethel McDaniel of Kilgore, TX; one brother Richard Jolly of Hennepin; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Knapp was preceeded in death by her parensts Bert and Eliza Lee Jolly and one brother Roy Eugene Jolly.

Pallbeares were Miles Judkins, Jerry Hefley, Paul Busby, Pete Byrd, Jim Bell, and Don Watson.
