Mrs. Potts was born in Macon, attended McElroy High School, and had lived in Macon for most of her life. She was retired from the Bibb County Tag Office and was the daughter of the late Prentice Oliver and Martha Whitehurst Ussery. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Todd Potts and her sisters, Anne Croft and Pamela Harbin.
Mrs. Potts is survived by her husband, Jimmy Potts of Macon; children, James Gregory Potts, Martha Gail Baker, and Stephanie Cherie Mimbs; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron and Keith Ussery; several nieces and nephews.
