Sarah was born in Limestone Co., AL in 1838 to John Grindle and an unknown mother. On July 25, 1856 Sarah married Fulker Cox while living in Limestone Co. AL. In the 1860 census Sarah and Fulker are still living in Alabama and have a young 3 month old daughter named Eliza Maryetta "Mollie" Cox. Around this time they move to Spring Hill township in Hempstead Co., Arkansas. Sarah's husband Fulker joins the CSA army in Columbia County, Ar. in 1862 and dies in a hospital in Little Rock, AR. on Aug. 3rd, 1863. At this time Sarah was still living in Spring Hill township of Hempstead Co., AR. Her daughter Eliza Maryetta " Mollie" Cox Brown is buried at Mt. Nebo Cemetery near Patmos, Arkansas along with many other members of the Cox family. There are many unmarked graves in this cemetery so our family assumes she is buried there somewhere close to her daughter in one of those unmarked graves. New information has been found that shows Sarah remarried Rufus Jackson in Lawrence County, Tenn in 1868. They moved back to Arkansas between 1868 and 1872 and were living in LaGrange Township of Lafayette County AR. in the 1880 Census. They had 2 young daughters Joan and Lizzy.
