Douglas G. Knave, 57, of 1117 Valley View Circle, Bloomington, formerly of Lexington, died at 7:27 a.m. Sunday (April 28, 2002) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
He was born Dec. 19, 1944 in Front Royal, Va. to Willie Smith and Agnes Dawson Knave. He married Vallie Tharpe June 5, 1965 in Front Royal. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Lisa Knave, Forrest; four sons, Douglas G. Knave Jr., Forrest; Tony Knave and Willie Knave, both of Front Royal and Jim Knave, Normal; three sisters, Eleanor Clarke, Chantilly, Va.; Kathy Phinney, Lexington and Bessie Hawse, Buena Vista, Va.; one brother, Walter Knave, Front Royal and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Knave and one sister, Daisy Hite.
