THOMPSON -- Tuesday, November 8, 1932 at 11:55 a.m., Sophie R. Cambron Thompson, age 79 years, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wheat, 2229 Duncan Street. Remains will be taken Thursday morning at 7:35 to Chicago, Ky., for funeral services and interment.

BURIED YESTERDAY MORNING - Funeral services for Mrs. Sophia R. Thompson, widow of George G. Thompson of the western part of the county, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wheat, with whom she made her home in Louisville, were held at the Catholic church at Chicago yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Thompson, who was 82 years old, died Tuesday morning, following a two weeks illness of paralysis. She was formerly a Miss Cambron of this county. Her husband preceded her to the grave many years ago. Surviving her are eight children, four daughters and four sons. They are: Mrs. W. O. Mattingly of Loretto, Mrs. Eugene Mattingly, Mrs. Will Drees, Mrs. Charles Wheat, Aaron, Richard and Hilary Thompson, all of Louisville, and Ed M. Thompson of Stanford. She is also survived by one sister, Sister Mary Corine of the Loretto Order at Webster Grove, Mo., and two brothers, E. M. Cambron of Loretto and W. H. Cambron of Owensboro.

Buried, 11/10/1932, in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Chicago (now St. Francis), Marion Co., Ky; Cemetery 1; Section 1.
