Anna E. Hunsicker, 26, Reading, died in the morning of June 21, 2008, at home. Born July 12, 1981, in Reading, she was a daughter of George E. Hunsicker, Reading; and Cathy V. (Callaway) Hunsicker, Dalton, Ga. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Doris S. Biddle, Hamburg.
She was employed as a prison guard at Graterford State Prison, Royersford. She also worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the city of Reading. Anna earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from Kutztown University in 2006. She was a member of Berks County Young Republicans.
In addition to her parents and paternal grandmother, she is survived by two sisters, Sara E. Hunsicker, Allentown; and Abby H., wife of Jeffrey Showalter, Wyomissing; and her niece, Olivia C. Schmitz, Allentown.
Services were Wednesday at noon in John P. Feeney Funeral Home Inc., 625 N. Fourth St. at Centre Avenue, in Reading's Centre Park Historic District. Burial was private at the convenience of the family.
The family requested donations to the Mental Health Association of Berks County, 122 W. Lancaster Ave., Mifflin Plaza, Suite 207, Shillington, PA 19607.
