Tennessee Colony - Services for Gladys Woolverton, 76, of Tennessee Colony, were at 4 p.m. today at Tennessee Colony Church with the Revs. Roger Butler and Theo Johnson officiating. Burial was at Tennessee Colony Cemetery.

Mrs. Woolverton died Saturday at Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Anderson County on July 1, 1917, to Charlie and Ella Mae Biorklund Galloway. She was employed by Cayuga Independent School District as a cook. She was a member of Tennessee Colony Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband, J. C. "Shag" Woolverton, in 1967.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Grady (Linda Kay) Henry of Tennessee Colony; sons, Charles K. Alfred of Corsicana and Randy Alfred of Montalba; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Woolverton, Glen Woolverton, Jim Turner, W. H. Galloway, William Galloway and Gayle Adair.
