Herald Coaster, January 15, 1982:

Funeral services for Rosie Nowak, 75, of Booth, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond. Burial will be in West Gethsemane Cemetery in Rosenberg. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Garmany & Carden Richmond Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. James Madden officiating.

Mrs. Nowak died Thursday at Polly Ryon Hospital. She was a housewife born in Needville.

She is survived by one son, Chester Nowak of Cypress; four sisters, Terry Stern of Rosenberg, Annie Garnowski of Sugar Land, Lorene Smith of Goodrich, and Verna Wooley of Moscow; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Richmond Friday.

Memorials may be made to the building fund of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
