Jennifer K. (Spohn) McWilliams, 43, Olathe, KS, passed away January 11, 2004, at the home of her parents due to complications of cancer. Her children, parents, siblings, husband, and friends were at her side as she departed this earth. The memorial service celebrating Jennifer's life will be held Friday, January 16, 2004, 11 a.m. at Faith Temple, located at 34th & Woodend in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 6-8 p.m. at Maple Hill Funeral Home, 34th & Shawnee Dr., Kansas City, KS. Those who choose may give memorial gifts to the Cancer Action, Inc., of Kansas City, KS. Jennifer was born on August 28, 1960, in Kansas City, KS, to Paul A. and Carolyn L. (Wiggins) Spohn. She was a graduate from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1978 and was employed by AMS in Overland Park, KS, as a buyer and has been in the aviation nav-aides' business for over 22 years. Jennifer was also a kind and most loving mother to her daughter, Renee Michelle Kane, and her two sons, Herschel H. McWilliams IV, both of Overland Park, and Lucas W. McWilliams and his wife Brittany, of Kansas City, KS. They, along with her husband, Herschel H. "Sonny"McWilliams III, of the home, will forever miss their loving mother and precious wife. Jennifer also leaves a brother, Edward R. Spohn, his wife Michelle and nephew Philip, Tucson, AZ; sister Elisabeth J. Combs, her husband William and niece Alexandra of Kansas City, MO; and her loving parents Paul and Carolyn Spohn of Shawnee, KS. Jennifer will also be deeply missed by her many loving friends and entire extended family. Jennifer will always be remembered for her happy, caring, and loving spirit that she shared and radiated by her mere presence. Thank you, Jennifer, for all the light you shined on us, in God's name.
