LILLIAN HENSLEY
Lilliam Reed Hensley, 81, of 14 Fern St., Asheville, died Monday afternoon in an Asheville hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Madison County, she had been a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Jim and Lola Reed and the wife of Tony Hensley, who died in 1970.
She attended Biltmore Alliance Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Melton of Skyland, Polly Whittemore of Asheville and Verna Murray of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons, Tony A. Hensley Jr. of Asheville and Charles A. Hensley of Oteen; a sister, Rena Wolfgram of Elmira, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
