Born Feb. 26, 1905, in Oak Grove, La., to William C. and Fanny Castleman Wilson, she married Herbert G. Clawitter on June 20, 1931, in Shreveport, La. He died Nov. 11, 1973.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Herbert (and Ruth) of Morton; two daughters, Maxine (and Charles) Evans of Peoria, Ariz., and Sherry (and Ken) Hale of Pekin; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
She taught elementary school for five years in one-room schools near Oak Grove.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
