Funeral services for Jason Wayne Ballard will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, in Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. W.H. Yarbrough will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery in Oakdale.
Visitation is 2-10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Ballard died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in a Lake Charles hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Barbe High School, and he attended Louisiana State University. He was a national sales representative for various publications, and he was a professional singer.
Survivors include three brothers, Justin Ballard of Lake Charles and Nicholas Ballard and Daniel Ballard, both of Moss Bluff; one sister, Charlotte Sonnier of Sulphur; his parents, A.D. and Connie Ballard of Moss Bluff; and his grandfather, Durham Johnson of Alexandria.
