Mike Edward Leach, 81 of Centerville died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.

Mike was born January 5, 1924 the son of William and Ora(Hoskin)Leach. He married Vera June Rhodes on February 21, 1945 in Unionville, Missouri. Mike was an avid fisher, enjoyed hunting, gardening and spent many sunny afternoons at the Rathbun Dam.

Mike is survived by three children; Sheryl Pancrazio and her husband Ed of Centerville, Sue Hurley of Centerville, Michael Leach and his wife Jeanie of Exline, five grandchildren; Sonja Carson and her husband Darrin of Centerville, Stacey Cochran and her husband Kevin of Centerville, Doug Leach and his wife Casey of Mercer, MO, Eddie Leach of Unionville, MO, Melissa Teno and her husband Tom of Lovilla, IA, eight great grandchildren; Grady, Gage and Grant Carson, Kaleb and Zoie Cochran, Vanessa Leach, Olivia and Ella Teno. He was preceded in death by his wife June, an infant grandson Dwayne Hurley and son-in-law Arthur Hurley, two sisters; Evelyn Humphreys and Ethel Abbott, two brothers; Albert and Frank Leach.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, May 3rd at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Father Ron Will C.PP.S. officiating. Visitation will be held all day Monday at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8pm. Burial will be in the Shoney Cemetery, south of Exline, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Shoney Cemetery Association and may be left at the funeral home.
