Deceased Name: Jack E. Armstrong
Jack E. Armstrong, 79, of Monroe died Feb. 21, 2007.

A native and life long resident of Walton County, he was the son of the late Martin and Mattie Lou Green Armstrong. He was a retired employee of General Motors in Doraville and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and UAW #10.

Funeral Services were held Feb. 24 in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home. The Rev. Brant Callaway officiated and interment was private. Members of the Monroe Fire Department served as honorary escort.

Surviving are his widow: Carol Head Armstrong; a son and daughter-in-law: Jack and Mary Beth Armstrong; a sister: Marian A. Baccus, all of Monroe; grandchildren: Noah Armstrong and Grayson Armstrong. He was preceded in death by a brother: Junior Armstrong.
