Dakota warrior who fought in the US-Dakota War of 1862. Alternate spellings and meanings of his name include Hepan "Second Born Male" and Ha pan, "Second Child" (if a male). He was the son of Ea-chan-Woan-me (also spelled Ea-chun-me-ni).
