Garold was born April 28, 1942, in Sagola, son of the late Edward Beurjey and Mary (Pirlot) Beurjey. He graduated from Felch High School in 1960 and was a resident of the area for most of his life.
Garold Beurjey married Joyce Wickman on June 8, 1963, at Mission Covenant Church in Foster City. He was employed by Felch Township for more than 30 years and also worked for the North Dickinson School System for 15 years.
Garold was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and going to camp. Garold was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Tigers, Lions, Pistons and Red Wings.
He was survived by his wife, Joyce Beurjey; a son, Bryan Beurjey of Felch; a daughter, Dana (Robert) Smith of Felch; a sister, Judy (Dale) Engstrom of Kingsford; two grandchildren, Tyler and Briana Smith of Felch; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Garold Beurjey was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Beurjey and a nephew, Darrell Beurjey.
