Watertown Daily Times date ? after 1989 Margaret E. Flood,68,Ex-Nursing Supervisor,Dies Margaret E. Flood,68,of 162 Paddock St., retired nursing supervisor of the Madonna Home and wife of Dr. John F. Flood,was pronounced dead on arrival at 11:25a.m. Thursday at Mercy Hospital. A funeral Mass will be said at 10:00a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick`s Church with the Rev. Robert H. Aucoin officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Cleveland-Miller Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to St. Patrick`s Church. Besides her husband,she is survived by son Jon, Albany;a daughter,Margi,Athens,Ga.;three sisters, Mrs. Robert(DeVerde) O`Connor, Alexandria Bay, Mary Alice Foley,New Mexico, and Mrs. John (Rosella) Daley,Vermont, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. David(Rosemary) McKay,died in Oct.1988,in California. Born in Burrville on March 24,1921,daughter of John and Margaret Murphy Foley. She graduated from Immaclate Heart Academy,the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Notre Dame University,Ottawa,Ont. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing education from Catholic University, Washington,D.C.,and served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II,with overseas service in the Philippines. She married Dr. John F. Flood on Nov.18,1950,in Holy Family Church with the Rev. Albert J. Farrell officiating. Dr. Flood practised neurosurgery in Watertown from 1957 to 1983. Mrs. Flood retired as nursing supervisor of the Madonna Home in 1989. She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Alummi and St. Patrick`s Altar and Rosary Society.
She also lost a son John born & died in Aug. 1952
