BROTHER OF CORYVILLE MAN KILLED IN ACTION
Pvt. Willard W. Bean, brother of Warren C. Bean of Coryville, was killed in
action somewhere in North Africa March 30. He was inducted June 6, 1942, and
received training at Fort Niagara and Fort Belvoir, Va. He was sent to Northern
Ireland in November and was transported to Africa a month later.

BOLIVAR SOLDIER'S BODY TO ARRIVE
BOLIVAR--The body of Private Willard Bean, son of Mrs. Millie Bean, North
Main Street, is enroute to the United States.
Pvt. Bean was inducted June 6, 1942 at Fort Niagara. He was sent to Fort
Belvoir, Va. where he received his training.
In August 1942 he was sent overseas and was stationed in Belfast, Ireland,
where he completed his training. Later he served with the Thirty-Fourth
Engineers Divison in North Africa. He was killed in actioin March 30, 1943.
Burial was made in the American cemetery at Hadjeb-el-Aloun, Tunisia.
