She was born in Springfield. She was a member of Mirror Lake Christian Church and Bethlehem Chapter 169, Order of Eastern Star in St. Petersburg. She lived in Decatur until 1943 when she moved to St. Petersburg. She married Virgil Hanks. Surviving are husband, Virgil of St. Petersburg; sisters, Marie Sotiropoulos and Hannah Mastorakos, both of St. Petersburg.
