MICKIE ANN EMMONS, age 68, Danville, formerly of Cynthiana, died Friday, January 1, 2010, at her residence. Born in Harrison County, January 31, 1941, to the late William Matthew and Agnes Marie Hardin Herrington, she was a homemaker and a childcare worker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Lee Simpson and father-in-law, Pap Emmons.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Emmons; two sons, Stevie Clay (Sue) Simpson, Harrodsburg and Frankie Matthew (Betty) Simpson, Nicholasville; a daughter, Rosanna Marie (Harvey) Stratton, Danville; a foster son, John (Tina) Webb, Danville; a brother, William Matthew (Jane) Herrington, Jr., Georgetown; two sisters, Mary Delores (Harry) Sanford, Cincinnati, Ohio and Martha Jane (Gerald) Ammerman, Gulf Shore, Alabama; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and her mother-in-law, Christine Emmons, Bourbon County.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Fondren. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be J. R. Price, Walter Price, Frankie Simpson, Jr., Stevie Simpson, II, Zack Simpson and Harvey Stratton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh McCoy and Jackie Shadd.
