John Z. York, 83 years of age and a former Douglas county resident, passed away Tuesday night in a Fort Wayne, Ind. hospital, following injuries received in a fall one week ago.
Funeral services are being heald at the Indiana home today ( Thursday March 8 ) and the body will be brought to Parkville Friday, where services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock, with burial in Lewis cemetery.
Mr York's wife who was formerly Mrs Minerva Hacket, passed away in 1935, and he is survived by a step-son, Elrah Hackett, a well known farmer of this vicinity.
