DOROTHY MARIE PERKINS

Dorothy Marie Perkins was born in Chariton Jan. 8, 1920 and passed away on Feb. 23, 2006 at her home in Chariton. She was the daughter of Theodore Reeves and Iva Josephine Dovenspike.

Dorothy retired from the Hy-Vee grocery store in Chariton after working over thirty years.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, aunt, great-aunt and a good friend to many. Her kindness, generosity and passion for life truly made the world a better place. Her smile, laugh and friendly presence will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, Donald Perkins, three brothers, Bert, Jack and Charles, three sisters, Nellie, Hazel and Ruth. She was also preceded in death by her long time friend and companion, Freddy Chandler.
