He was born April 26, 1928, in Monmouth, Ore., to Marcus and Martha (Hannum) Stryker.
He married Mary Humes on Sept. 2, 1955, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Stryker served in the Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1967.
He then was a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Stryker of Purdy; a brother, Jim Stryker of Coos Bay, Ore.; a sister, Alice Reardon of Saint Stephen, S.C.; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark, in 1983; and a grandson in 1978.
A private inurnment will take place at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
