14 June 1967: Mrs. Mabel R. Edris, Fredericksburg RD 1, widow of Samuel G. Edris, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster. She was 75. Born in Bethel, Berks County, she was the last of the family of the late Jonathan and Mary Royer Bashore. She was a member of the Fredericksburg Church of the Brethren. Surviving are eight children: Verna, wife of Robert Hostetter, Myerstown; Mary, wife of Abe. F. Bruckhart, Palmyra; Elias, Sebring, Fla.; Erma, wife of Ira Fahnestock, Manheim; Rufus, Lebanon RD 3; Mildred, wife of Dale Kreiner, Elizabethtown; Lee, Lebanon; and Edward, at home; 32 grandchildren and 14 great - grandchildren.
