Deceased Name: Sylvia Williams Jan. 1, 1930 -- June 27, 1999 Sylvia Williams, 69, of Modesto died Sunday at her home. Mrs. Williams was a native of Grant, Ala. She lived in Modesto 51 years. She was a line captain for E.&J. Gallo Winery. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Williams of Modesto; children, Clarence "Billy" Williams and Bobby Williams, both of Modesto, and Carol Chappell of Kingman, Ariz.; brothers, Leo Helton of Ripon and Roy Helton of Oakley; sister, Laveda Bevel of Southport, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs. Burial will be at Acacia Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.
