Col. Thomas E. Bibb, aged 80, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam M. Owens, in the McKinney section Sunday. He had been in feeble health for several years but not until a week ago did his condition become alarming. He was a fine old gentleman, a gallant ex-Confederate and a splendid citizen. He is survived by three daughters, Mesdames Owens, Maggie Fair, of Hartford, and M. H. Collins, of Memphis. His wife died a number of years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Gilbert Glass yesterday morning, after which the remains were taken to Bristol, Tenn., for interment. Much sympathy is felt for the daughters in their great loss.
