George Alfred MacDONALD served Canada during both WWI and WWII.

World War One:-
Captain G. A. MacDonald enlisted in the CEF on 7 Feb 1917 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He served as a chaplain with the 228th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. His wife, Mrs. G. A. MacDonald, was residing on Peel Street, in Brantford, Ontario, at the time of his enlistment.

His son, RCAF Flight Sergeant Charles George MacDONALD, serving in England, was one of five airmen killed on 24 June 1942 in the crash of their Vickers Wellington Bomber L7891. The aircraft had taken off from RAF Pershore, Worcestershire, England. Flight Sergeant C. G. MacDonald was laid to rest in St Mary the Virgin Churchyard, in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, England.
