Mrs. Eliza A. Hester Dead
Aged Woman Passes Away at Home of Her Daughter
Mrs. Eliza Addison Hester died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.C. Ansley of 2627 Connecticut Avenue from infirmities. She was born in Georgetown in 1830.
Mrs. Hester was the daughter of Thomas Belt Addison and her mother was Elisa Eliason. Rev. Thomas G. Addison, a brother, was for many years the rector of the old Trinity Episcopal Church, Third and G Streets Northwest. Her husband, James Hester, died 25 years ago. Seven children, Mrs. H.C. Ansley, William B. Hester and Frank D. Hester of Washington; Mrs. J.R. Mohler and Mrs. Monroe G. Chew of Virginia and Mrs. Edward Knox Cooke and Mrs. Herbert Lyman Blackman of New York survive her. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday. The burial will be private in Oak Hill Cemetery.
