EMERSON, ELLA wife of Chas. B. Emerson died at her home near Ida this county on last Friday morning at 10 o'clock after several months illness, originating with a severe attack of influenza last winter, from which she never fully regained her health, though the immediate cause of her death was pneumonia. Mrs. Emerson was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. E. Woodward of the Ida section & is mourned by a wide circle of relatives & friends. Besides her husband & 6 children she is survived by the following brothers & sisters: W. L., J. L., Charles, Hubert, Kirby & Harvey Woodward all of this county, Harry Woodward & Mrs. Roy Strawderman of Nokesville, Homer Woodward of West Virginia, Mrs. J. H. Cave of Washington, DC. & Mrs. Hubert Cave & Mrs. B. R. Nichols of near Ida. Her funeral was held at her late home on Sunday afternoon, her pastor, Rev. P. L. Snapp officiating.
