Married William Michigan Mahoney April 14, 1862. Mother of Fannie (Sallie), Effie and Sarah Rebecca. In 1870, Mary's health was failing and she was taken to the residence of her father, Tobias Peterson, at Everett, Bedford county, Pennsylvania, where he had moved from Maryland in the hope that the mineral springs in that vicinity might improve beneficial to her health. Mary died the following year.
